The chick on my banner above is a small ceramic good luck charm I carried in my pocket as a child. Somehow, I never lost it. I believed as long as it was in my pocket, I could be brave. As an adult, it bears symbolic importance to have this chick at the forefront of my blog, my writing home. It’s my little daily reminder to always be brave and willing to put myself out there.
Given the tiny size of this good luck charm, I’m amazed it survived my childhood.
