Yes, I’m serious. As soon as I realized the root Odi means hate, I was over his name, (the curse of being a fifth grade teacher)… But, we’ve spent all weekend trying to find the right one and, well, it’s hard work. I swear our kid will have four names someday before we find the perfect fit.
Cast a vote or make a suggestion, we’re all ears!
Mocha! OK that’s my dog’s name, but they look similar and we’ve never met another Mocha. He kind of looks like a Rusty too though.
Those are great! And Mocha has the long O sound 😀
I suggest Luka, Old Norse, possible source of Loki, the Norse god of mischief. In Old Norse it means “close,” and you said he loves to be close to you, and it reminds me of Lucca, the beautiful town in Northern Tuscany.
Ohhh! I like that one! Great suggestion 😀
I like Oscar or Shane.
I liked Oscar too! So many choices! 😀
I voted for Gatsby because I have a thing for dogs with distinguished gentlemanly names. I also like Eddy, because it sounds a lot like Odie and it might be easier for you and him to stick with a similar sounding name.
Me too, there is something that cracks me up about gentlemen dogs. Eddie is a good idea… I don’t know how we’re ever going to decide 😉
Thor?
I like that too! I bet Alex will get a kick out it, I’ll add it to the growing list 😀
Count this as one of those failures of the WordPress Reader. Never saw it until after you posted the results. I would have voted for Chewy!!!!
I swear, WordPress hates me. I don’t think I show up in very many readers. Oh well. I liked Chewy too, fit his personality 😉
