The Last Weekend of My Twenties

I like the drama of that statement, as though everything will somehow change on Thursday.

I get that age is a state of mind, but thirty just sounds so adult.

Like it’s time to stop dreaming and start doing.

I know, it’s always time for that.

Ironically, I picked a pretty grown-up way to celebrate.

A house, close friends, dogs, and the ocean.

No dirty thirty or roaring twenties to go out with a bang.

However, it was perfectly me.

Quiet, peace, laughter and the sea.

Here’s to a new decade.

Thirty.

Happy birthday! One thing I’ve learned after nearly *harrumph* years on this planet is that 30 doesn’t feel any different than 29, and 40 doesn’t feel all that different from 25. Have a great day!

    Happy Birthday-week girlie!
