Autumn Ode

Every season deserves a break to stop and watch. Autumn happens to be my favorite. The leaves, the cooler air, the last of summer’s harvest. Up at my mom’s in Mt. Shasta, autumn is alive with color hidden beneath the unchanging pine trees.

No, don’t do it. We were there Sunday. Don’t Do It!!!!!
Great pictures. Head back up to Mt. Shasta, instead, and take more.

Yes, the last time we went, we regretted it, or I did at least. Too many people/cars! It’s like Disneyland. Glad you liked the pics!

As I said to the wifey, who loves Apple Hill … we can buy apples in the grocery store and every one of the pastries or pies we can get there we’re more than capable of making ourselves. And yet we go. I took a book..

I get the allure with fewer people, then the fall colors, smells, foods would be worth the drive. Hope your wife enjoyed it enough for the two of you! πŸ™‚

Exactly. When we’ve gone up later in the fall, after Halloween, it’s much better.

So beautiful! Don and I just decided we need to retire and move there now ;). But really, stand up paddle boarding 2014!

One of the things I love about autumn is the way everything seems to change so much every day–much more so, I think, than any other season. We’re past peak foliage now, but it’s still beautiful. Enjoy!

  4. Now you’re just making me want pumpkin pie.

  5. Such gorgeous photos, and I totally agree with you – Autumn is a totally beautiful season, and having just moved (down to Southern California), it makes me realize how much I take the colors that come with fall for granted. I miss seeing all the changing leaves, and I love seeing photos of the beauty, so at least I get to see it somehow. :]
